According to People, Mariah Carey's mother and sister passed away simultaneously over the weekend.

Carey confirmed the sad news in a statement she shared with the media.

My mother passed away this past weekend, and my heart is shattered. "Unfortunately, my sister also passed away on that very day," she informed the news source.

"With me for the rest of my life"—that is, according to Mariah Carey, her mother's jealousy.

"I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mum before she passed," said Carey. "I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time."


No further information on the deaths of Carey's family members was divulged to the media by her. Fox News Digital asked Carey's representative for comment, but they did not respond right away.

Their sister Alison filed a lawsuit against their mother in 2020, asserting that she was a victim of sexual assault at the hands of numerous men during her childhood as a result of attending Satanic worship gatherings.

In a summons filed with the New York Supreme Court in February, which was obtained by Fox News Digital at the time, Alison accused her mom, Patricia, of sexual assault when she was ten years old.

According to Alison, her mother condoned and even promoted sexual misconduct by an unspecified number of males, including forcible touching, first-degree sexual assault, and the sexual intercourse of adults and minors.

According to her, everything happened during "middle-of-the-night satanic worship meetings that included ritual sacrifices."
