Skai Jackson, a former Disney Channel star, was arrested and then freed after getting into an incident at Universal Studios in Hollywood, California. According to People, Jackson was arrested on August 8 and released from police custody a few hours later. The 22-year-old was detained on accusations of domestic battery.
According to a representative for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Jackson was detained after security footage showed him pushing the victim, who has not been publicly identified. Authorities confirmed that no firearms were used in the argument, and no injuries were reported.
Jackson competed on 'Dancing With the Stars' in 2020 and is most recognised for her performance as Zuri Ross in Disney's "Jessie." She also reprised her role in its spin-off sitcom "Bunk'd." Jackson has not issued a statement about the altercation or arrest. Jackson has been active on social media following his arrest.
